The Vineyards
Sixteen hectares planted with vines, thirteen in the beating heart of Castiglione Falletto, where reds and Barolo are born.
The remaining three are in Canelli, in the home of Moscato. Careful selection over the years has led Azienda Sobrero to choose plots in optimal locations for growing vines and producing high quality wine.
Pernanno, Villero, Ornato, Piantà, Valentino and Amellea: the magnificent six Crü, the spearheads that give life to four selected wines.
The magnificent Crü are the spearheads that give life to the selected Baroli, wines synonymous with passion, love and tradition for the vineyard, the result of work that develops over the years, from the care of the vineyard to the silent maturation in the cellar.
Agricola Sobrero winery does not forget the other types and also offers Langhe Bianco, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo, Moscato and Alta Langa to ensure a complete and quality range.

Pernanno
The Pernanno cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 2nd category cru, with east/southeast exposure and an altitude of 300 m. The soil is composed of a marly-limestone substrate, and the vines are very old. The result is a Barolo of great longevity that in the best years is offered as a Barolo riserva.
Villero
The Villero cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 1st category cru, with south/southwest exposure and an altitude of 280-300 m.
The soil consists of a marly-clayey-silty substrate about one meter deep on marl, which retains moisture well. The result is a Barolo of great longevity that in the best years is offered as a Barolo riserva.
Valentine
The Valentino cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 3rd category cru. Grapes from this cru go to create together with grapes from other plots, as tradition dictates, the classic Barolo made from grapes in the commune of Castiglione Falletto, called "Ciabot Tanasio" by the Sobrero family.
Castiglione Rocks
The Rocche di Castiglione cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 1st category cru, consisting of small and very steep vineyards with east/southeast exposure and an altitude of 300-350 m. The soil is predominantly limestone and is rich in sand and tuff. The result is a Barolo of great longevity that in the best years is offered as a Barolo riserva.
Piantà
The Piantà cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 3rd category cru. Grapes from this cru go to create together with grapes from other plots, as tradition dictates, the classic Barolo made from grapes in the commune of Castiglione Falletto, called "Ciabot Tanasio" by the Sobrero family.
Parussi
The Parussi cru is a historic vineyard in Castiglione Falletto classified as a 2nd category cru, with west/southwest exposure and an altitude of 220 m. The rather sandy soil consists of light gray marls with clay and limestone. The result is a Barolo of great elegance with fine, evolved tannins.
San Marzano Oliveto
In the territory of San Marzano Oliveto, in the province of Asti at an altitude of about 300 m., there are three hectares planted with vines of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Moscato grapes from which Alta Langa is produced with the first two and Moscato d'Asti.
